WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME AS A MEMBER?

At CICF we never ask our members to do more than what the Bible clearly teaches. We only expect our members to do what the Bible already expects every Christian to do. These responsibilities are spelled out in the Membership and Growth Covenants.

MY MEMBERSHIP COVENANT

1. I will protect the unity of my church

by refusing to gossip,

by acting in love and forgiveness toward other members,

by preventing cliques,

by agreeing with our statement of faith,

by following the leaders.

2. I will share the responsibility of my church

by praying for its growth,

by inviting people to attend,

by warmly welcoming those who visit.

3. I will serve the ministry of my church

by discovering my God-given gifts and talents,

by being equipped to serve by my pastors,

by developing a servant's  heart.

4. I will support the testimony of my church

by attending faithfully,

by living a godly life,

by giving regularly,

and because I am here to grow spiritually and to help others do the same, I will refrain from promoting or conducting business of any kind, or using the church for purposes other than spiritual growth and glorifying God.

MY GROWTH COVENANT

1. A Daily Time With God

Personal Bible Reading and Prayer

2. A Weekly Tithe To God

Faithfully giving to God a portion of my income.

3. A Commitment to a Discipleship Group For God

Accountability and Fellowship in a Discipleship Group.

4. A Commitment to Live God's Word.

Glorifying God daily by my choices, actions, words, and behavior.

All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.
