Our deepest desire here at CICF is to Live for Christ by obeying God's command to make disciples, to love God and others, and to help YOU grow in Christ. That is why we've developed a way to accomplish these important goals through our Discipleship Development Process (DDP).
DISCIPLESHIP DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
1. Knowing Christ
Believing and Receiving Christ as your Lord and Savior. Experiencing and understanding God's Love and your personal relationship with Jesus. Getting to know the family of God.
Area of Commitment: Committing to Christ, talking to Him, and being established in a home church (church membership).
Primary Focus: Worship, Prayer and Fellowship.
2. Growing in His Word
Growing in the knowledge and understanding of God and His ways through the study of the Bible.
Area of Commitment: Learning God's Word and being part of a Discipleship Group.
Primary Focus: Bible Study and Accountability
3. Growing In His Image
Developing Christ-like character. Who you are.
Area of Commitment: Allowing the Holy Spirit to change your heart. Surrender.
Primary Focus: Bible Study and Accountability.
4. Living His Word
Developing Christ-like behavior. How you act and react. Actually applying and living God's Word in your daily life.
Area of Commitment: Obedience to Christ and His Word.
Primary Focus: Bible Study and Accountability.
5. Serving Christ
Demonstrating the love of Christ by helping and serving others.
Area of Commitment: Serving in a Church Ministry.
Primary Focus: Ministry
6. Sharing Christ
Intentionally telling others about Him so that people will Know Christ (back to No. 1).
Area of Commitment: Sharing your testimony and faith in Christ with others.
Primary Focus: Evangelism
