Ed Dacio - Senior Pastor

Hi! My name is Ed Dacio and I’d like to welcome you to our church website!

I’ve been the Senior Pastor of CICF since the official start of our church on May 4, 1997, and I completed my Master of Divinity degree at Talbot Seminary, Biola University.

My partner in life and church ministry is my lovely wife Cory, and we have two wonderful sons, Myles and Paul. I don’t want to leave out our two dogs Xena and Maverick who are both a very important part of our family as well.

My deepest passion in life is to connect people to God and to teach His Word. In my spare time I love landscape photography, playing the guitar and piano, and when time permits I also love practicing my golf swing - which I’ve found is a very humbling experience.

Please look around our website to get more info about our church, but even better, I’d like to invite you to come by and visit us so that you can really get to know us better.

Be blessed.

ALAN Llavore - Associate Pastor

July2014.jpg

I'm Alan Llavore, the associate pastor here at CICF. I earned a certificate in Christian apologetics from Biola University, and was commissioned associate pastor at CICF in 2004. Primarily I oversee the music ministry, but, as Pastor Ed says, whatever he can't do, I pick up. So in that sense, I guess I'm sort of the utility player on the ministry staff.  I'm a journalist by training (BA Journalism, Cal State Long Beach) and a writer/editor/photographer by profession. When I'm not assisting with the music ministry and anywhere else I'm called, you can find me running on the roads and trails of the IE (and sometimes down at the beach), training for 10K races, half marathons and marathons.

Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
